Being at the right place at the right time

recent events have me pondering about God. I don't think there is a God, like the stereotypical western depiction, but more and more I feel like there's some kind of cosmic power or people looking after me. I don't want to contribute my luck all to myself, like "it's because I'm smart and did THIS, because I'm invincible blah blah". There are some things completely out of your control and maybe He or She or They are listening, or that there really is some of destined plan for you.
